Yin Yoga Intensive – Liver & Gallbladder

Sunday Yin Yoga Intensive

Come and join me online with Finnieston Yoga Shala for a lovely long deep soak with this two hour Yin Yoga intensive practice.

We will be practicing poses for the Liver and Gallbladder lines to help balance the energy of these organs. The Liver line is responsible for the free and easy wondering of our qi throughtout the whole body. (Qi = energy / Prana) This smooth flow of qi helps to ensure healthy digestion of the Stomach and Spleen, aiding in supporting these organs.

The Liver also rules the tendons and ligaments via the relaxation of muscular tissue – a perfect Yin practice! When we relax the muscles we help to increase their strength and effiency by dispersing any stagnation found throughout the muscular tissue, tendons and ligaments.

If you are needing some inspiration working with the Liver line is the perfect way to get you back on track and begin to feel inspired again, helping to lift your mood and overall wellbeing, especially as we ease out of lockdown and mover forward with our day to day lives.

This practice will be working the hips as the liver lines runs up the inner seam of the leg from the big toe. The gallbladder line runs down from the head, down the side waist and outer hips, knee and ankles, running off the small toe.

So expect lots of hips openers and lateral side body stretching. Overall, we will be doing long yin holds and breath work based upon Taoist theory.
