Terms and Conditions
& Covid 19 Guidelines

Classes
Classes will only run with a minimum of 3 students, so please always check the schedule three hours before the class takes place to make sure the class is on.  If less than 3 people are booked and the class is cancelled you will get the class put back onto your pass.  Please cancel your class a minimum of 3 hours before the class time if you know you will not be attending. Failure to cancel the class before the minimum requirement of 3 hours will result in your losing a class pass.

Late arrivals
Please note that we will not allow late arrival of over 5 mins as this disrupts the class for the other students. Please make sure you are on time as classes will not be refunded or put back onto your class pass.

Courses and Workshops
We reserve the right to cancel a course or workshop if circumstances deem it necessary. In this event either a suitable transfer to another course, or a full refund will be offered. Any missed sessions within a course comprising many sessions are generally non transferable, however some exceptions may be allowed solely at the discretion of Finnieston Yoga Shala.

In light of the current Covid 19 situation any courses and workshops offered in the studio are subject to government guidelines. It is possible that over the course/workshop duration the classes may need to be held online as opposed to in the studio. The teacher/studio will let you know if this is required as soon as possible. Please note that there will be NO REFUNDS or transfers for the course if this should happen. Our online class platform is offered using ZOOM.

Refunds
All payments, once made, are non refundable, even if you are unable to attend the class or workshop you paid for. We will however, do our best to transfer the amount paid towards another suitable class/course, or, in the case of a workshop, to find another student to fill the space. The only exception to this policy is if a course or workshop has been cancelled by us – please refer to the above.

Class Passes
Both 5 and 10 class passes are valid for 4 months from first use.  If unused the purchased pass will remain in your account for a maximum of 6 months before becoming invalid.  There will be no refunds, extensions or transfers under any circumstances.  Class passes are not valid for special events or workshops, and are not transferable to another person. All classes must be pre-booked, amended or cancelled via your Karmasoft Online Account. Finnieston Yoga Shala reserves the right to alter the class schedule or substitute teaching staff as a result of circumstances beyond its control.

Monthly Rates and Concessions
Finnieston Yoga Shala offers generous monthly rates and student/OAP/unemployed concessions. Monthly rates are offered with the understanding that a class within that month may occasionally need to be cancelled, and in this instance no refund or modification will be made to the monthly rate. Monthly rates do not cover workshops or special events. Concessionary rates are offered for drop in classes and class passes, but not for monthly rates, as these are already heavily discounted. Proof of concessionary status must be provided in person, until then full rates are applicable.

Auto renew

Auto renew is a rolling membership which allows you to attend either a) unlimited classes b) x3 classes per week for a highly discounted rate which gives you an additional 10% discount off our regular monthly pass.

By taking out auto renew you are entering into a contract with us where you are agreeing to the following terms:

  • A minimum of 3 months commitment to begin
  • After 3 month commitment is up we require 1 months notice to cancel membership from the date of your last payment.
  • No holds on passes in the first 3 months of membership
  • Maximum of 1 month hold after 3 month term is up.

This auto renew is offered with the understanding that the studio will be closed on occasion throughout the year Eg: bank holidays, Christmas/New Year, moon days and payment will come out notwithstanding. No refunds / extensions or pass modifications will apply under this option.

You will also receive 20% discount off Workshops (this does not include international / visiting teachers workshops or Mysore programmes) and 10% off massage.

Bookings

Every class must be pre-booked online – no drop ins. Because of the number limitations no shows and late cancellations ( less than 6 hours before class, or for morning mysore 12 hours) will be charged, no exceptions!

Bookings For Private Sessions
24 hours’ notice is required to change or cancel an appointment. Please call 07719 867051 if your booking is with Cathy or call 07894 213107 if your booking is with Gem. Should you not turn up for an appointment or if you have given less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

Online Booking System
We use a third party provider (Karmasoft) for our online bookings. And Stripe for our online payments processing. Please refer to the individual provider websites for more info. All bookings made on the website are subject to our terms and conditions, and by making a booking, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers will be valid for 6 months from date of purchase. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, and cannot be used after the expiry date.

Registration & Check-in
To comply with fire regulations, everyone is required to check-in to each class attended. If you are a new client, you must sign up online first to confirm your booking.

Health
If you are pregnant, suffer from very high blood pressure, chronic heart disease, retinal problems, epilepsy, have a joint replacement or recently undergone any major surgery, please consult your doctor prior to booking classes. Please inform the teacher, at the start of the class, if you are suffering from any injuries, medical conditions or are taking any medication.

Covid 19 Guidelines – Health and Safety

Following government guidelines these are the measures we need to implement to minimise risk of infection within the studio. Please read carefully!!

Social Distancing

If you have any symptoms of of COVID 19: new continuous cough, high temperature, loss or change of taste and smell you MUST NOT come to the studio.

If you have recently tested positive for COVID 19 you MUST NOT come to the studio.

Attending any studio classes are done at your own risk and Finnieston Yoga Shala and it’s teachers are not held responsible or liable in the event that you should fall ill with COVID 19.

Face coverings must be worn upon entering and leaving the studio.

Every class must be pre-booked online – no drop ins. Because of the number limitations no shows and late cancellations ( less than 6 hours before class, or for morning mysore 12 hours) will be charged, no exceptions!

For most classes students should wait outside the building until the instructor calls them in. For morning mysore students can enter the building but must observe social distancing within the corridor ( if there is a student already in the corridor maintain distance until they enter the studio, if there are 2 students in the corridor wait outside the building)

Mat spaces will be marked out with tape. Students must stay within their mat space as much as possible.

Where possible arrive in your yoga clothes and leave in them too – where this is not possible try to get ready as efficiently as possible to minimise time spent in changing areas and toilets.

Hands on adjustments will be given only if the student would like them – we will leave this up to the individual and instructors will wear masks when in close proximity to students.

Please wear masks whilst entering and leaving the building. They are not necessary during the class, although you can wear them if you like.

Cleaning and Sanitising

Hand sanitise on entering the studio. Wash your hands when using/before leaving the bathroom .

Please bring your own mats and we encourage you to bring your own props too, if needed. We have kept some blocks in the studio for students to borrow but these must be meticulously sanitised before and after each use. We can no longer provide blankets or bolsters.

We will have limited space for regular students ( those coming at least 3 times per week!) to store their mats if they wish to – allocated on a first come first served basis. These mats must also be sanitised after use.

The studio will be cleaned and ventilated every morning and evening after class.

Test and Trace

To support NHS test and trace we need to have records of everyone who attends our classes. If everyone books their classes online this will take care of itself. Please ensure that you have provided your contact details in your online account and have read and signed the revised terms and conditions.

Security
While we take every precaution possible, Finnieston Yoga Shala will not be held responsible for your personal belongings while on the premises.

Use of Images 

We sometimes display class photographs (where individuals are not prominent) to promote Finnieston Yoga Shala services and classes on our website, blog, social media, and promotional material. We respect the privacy of all our client(s) and will ask permission before putting close up images on any website, blog, social media and advertising platforms. If you are not happy with us using an image in which you are present at all please inform us and we will remove it.

All our classes are live streamed at the same time as the in studio classes take place. Therefore, your image may be visible to those who are participating in the online class. If you would prefer to be out of view of the online participants please inform the teacher as soon as possible and preferably before the class begins. 

Your Right to Access information or Withdraw your Data

Anyone photographed by Finnieston Yoga Shala, whether a client or guest, and whether past or current may withdraw consent for a photograph in which they appear to be displayed. The process for this is to email  specifying the photo in question. After the request has been made, Finnieston Yoga Shala will take the necessary step to remove the image online.

You have the right to contact Finnieston Yoga Shala at anytime and ask to view the Personal Information that the business has stored on you. You have the right to ask to have such information deleted or removed. If you would like access to your stored data please contact Gem or Cathy at finniestonyogahshala@gmail.com

We may change the terms and conditions or policies from time to time, so please check this page regularly.
